Camco Elevator is the result of one man’s vision, decades of dedication, and a legacy built from the ground up.

Before founding Camco in 1999, Gary Carlile worked alongside his father-in-law at Econ Elevator, learning the industry hands-on. Those years shaped not only his technical skill, but his values — integrity, loyalty, and a commitment to doing the job right.

With just one partner, Roy Barnett, Gary launched Camco Elevator. Roy worked beside him for more than 40 years, helping lay the foundation of the company’s culture and reputation. Though Roy passed away a few years ago, his influence remains part of Camco’s story.

From those humble beginnings, Camco has grown into a trusted elevator company serving Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. Today, in 2026, the company employs 15 team members, including licensed mechanics and skilled helpers.

Camco provides residential installations, residential service and repair, and specializes in industrial and commercial maintenance, repair, and modernization. With 24-hour on-site technicians available, customer service is always the top priority.

Those who know Gary describe him as a man of steady character and strong vision — someone who believes in people and leads with fairness and respect. From one truck and two men to a multi-state operation, Camco Elevator stands as a testament to perseverance, family values, and integrity that continues to guide the company today.
