Mia Forte’

Mia is a self-motivated, positive person who is passionate about helping others. She is the daughter of Tracy and Thelma Metcalf-Forte and granddaughter of Cordia Metcalf. “I am an only child but do not have the ‘only child syndrome.’ I am kind and caring, and I live by Dr. King’s Motto, ‘Everybody can be great because anybody can serve.’ You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love,” Mia says.
Mia loves being in front of the camera, and the Debbie Brower Photography Model Program was a perfect fit. “Mrs. Debbie took my first picture when I was two years old. Those pictures are still on my parent’s fireplace mantle. Every picture she takes makes us look beautiful,” Mia says. “This modeling opportunity has been very special. My family and I had so much fun shopping for the perfect outfit for each photo shoot, and I had an awesome makeup artist. Modeling for Mrs. Debbie has given me a special memory that I will never forget.”
Creating new designs on her Cricut, traveling, volunteering, shopping, and spending time with her family are some of Mia’s favorite hobbies. She is also an active member of her school and community. “I am involved in the FCCLA, EAST, and Student Council, serving as a Student Council representative. My other school activities include participating in Project Prevent, East Night Out, the Principal’s Advisory Team, and the Razorback Pep Rally Spirit Team,” Mia says. “As a longtime member of Lonoke Baptist Church, I serve on the Usher Board, Youth Choir, Girl’s Ministry, Puppeteers, Youth Praise and Worship Team, Video Ministry, and the Southwest District. In my community, I am active in organizations such as The Scholars and the Delta Gems Academy. I am also a 2024 Las Amigas Debutante.”
Mia believes in hard work and knows how to get a job done. “I am also a Christian. I believe that Christians are supposed to be kind, caring, doing the right thing, willing to share, and willing to help others,” Mia says.
After graduation, Mia plans to attend Texarkana College and later transfer to Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in computer technology. She aspires to become a flight attendant and hopes to utilize her computer technology degree later in her career.
